Yes, that's exactly it! I figure I have the time to read one more news article, or change clothes one more time, or throw on some makeup, or take out the trash, when of course I could get to school successfully without doing any of these things.

And then I have to shut down the computer, find my shoes, turn on a light for Sam, etc. What a weird problem, eh?

I consistently arrive at work five minutes late. I think the problem lies in watching the clock while getting ready and thinking, "I have X amount of time left." If there's X amount of time left, I will fill it with things. Oh, I have thirteen minutes? I can brush a coat of nail polish on my toes! Four minutes? Maybe I'll re-do my hair. There are two problems with this logic: one, I always underestimate the amount of time any given task will take (blow-dry and flat iron in two minutes? - yeah right); and two, I never, ever factor in the things that I always, always do AFTER I am supposedly "ready" - grab my phone off the charger, find my sunglasses, let the dog go potty, feed the cat, grab a soda for the car, etc etc etc. I wish I could say that recognizing the problem helps to curtail it; it doesn't. Sorry. :)
